XML with Access 2002

You can export data in XML format from tables, views, stored procedures, forms, and reports, and you can import existing data saved in XML format. You can use Microsoft Internet Explorer, which supports XML, to view the output of the export procedure directly.

Exporting Data in XML

For the following example, we have created a view named vwFilms that sorts the tblFilms table’s columns FilmTitle and Length by Film Title. To export the data in XML format, select the view under Queries in the Access database window, and then select File, then Export. In the Export dialog box, shown in Figure 28-1, in the Save As Type combo box, select XML Documents (*.xml).
