Creating Tables

You create a new table by selecting the table object in the Database window and clicking New. The system prompts you to enter a name for the new table. We recommend that you follow the same guidelines that apply when naming Access mdb tables; for example, do not include spaces in the table name.

Note

Tables are created by Microsoft SQL Server/MSDE on a user-specific basis, that is, every user with the appropriate permissions can create tables in the current database. Different users can also use the same table names. In the Access Database window, tables for the current user are displayed with the table name only, and tables belonging to other users are displayed with the user name in parentheses.
