Simulation of Micro Bending

Abstract

In this chapter, the scatter of mechanical properties of grains is calculated based on the results from micro tensile tests, and the mechanical properties of these grains are assigned to each Voronoi tessellation to achieve grain heterogeneity in software ABAQUS/CAE. A new finite element model is built with Voronoi tessellation and grain heterogeneity to simulate the micro V-bending process. Micro V-bending experiment is conducted to validate the numerical results.
