13.5. CONCLUSION

Choosing the right design of the instruction and properly scripting the learning event is important for learning in a virtual world. In an environment in which learners can fly, teleport, and interact socially without the instructor realizing it, the design and pacing of the instruction must be compelling and must match the learners' needs. The right design achieves the desired learning outcome. If the design is off and the instruction is not focused, learners grow bored and become disappointed with virtual worlds.
