Sustainable urban transport planning

Abstract:

Integrated sustainable urban transport planning links land use planning to mobility planning in order to improve life quality for all. Many technological and systemic approaches exist to make transport systems more efficient, including smart growth approaches such as transit-oriented development and walkable communities. However, in many instances, routines, preferences and prejudices prevent a change of mobility patterns.
