Getting Photos on Your iOS Device

Before you can organize, edit, and share photos with iPhoto, you need to have photos on your iOS device. Any photos or video clips that you have in the Photos app on iOS are automatically included in the iPhoto library, but you have several other ways to import photos to iPhoto. Photos and videos that you take with the built-in camera on your iOS device automatically appear in iPhoto’s Camera Roll on the device you used to take the photos. If you’re using iCloud on your iOS devices, those images also appear in the My Photo Stream album in iPhoto for iOS.
