CHAPTER 7 It’s All About the Content

A media server’s primary purpose is to play video content in a show. Therefore, the server has to have some digital content on it. Where does this content come from? Does the server have any preloaded (stock) content, or will you have to create and add custom content to the server? All digital content comes from one of the following sources:

  • Stock content loaded on the server
  • Content provided by client
  • Content purchased from a content provider
  • Content you create from scratch.
