As the popularity of media servers has grown, so has the need for better feedback at FOH and on the lighting console. In situations where the media servers are not located next to the lighting console, the lighting programmer can be at a real disadvantage. With only DMX cables connecting FOH to a media server backstage somewhere, the status of the media server at any given time can be a big question mark for the programmer.
