Student and staff engagement in feedback is an important driver in optimising response rates. Research demonstrates that if students and teachers are kept in the loop when a feedback process is taking place, they tend to participate more. To achieve the best possible outcomes, however, there is without doubt a need for staff members to engage participants at the grassroots level.
