We must increase our ability to take in more information, translate more information into knowledge, increase our processing of knowledge into understanding, and achieve higher wisdom as we move to self-actualization and beyond. Jean Houston, author of The Possible Human, talks about the desire to increase capacity for learning by equating most of humankind’s present capacity to living in the attic of a house and never visiting the other floors.
