One critical aspect of social responsibility is the responsibility to acknowledge and value the variety of diverse backgrounds that employees bring to an organization, and facilitate the synergy that can result from the mix of perspectives. As with much of what this book is about, there is a moral dimension to diversity, but there is a practical dimension as well. Nationally and globally, we are increasingly diverse societies.
