Achieving High Availability with Network Load Balancing

Some applications that need to be highly available do not require failover clustering, such as applications based on web services. These applications typically are able to use Network Load Balancing to balance connections across a number of server nodes. This is more easily done with applications that are session-less or have a minimal amount of session data.
