In this chapter, you learned about remote access and authentication. You learned that the user authentication protocols included with Windows Server 2008 R2 are PAP, CHAP, MS-CHAPv2, Kerberos, NTLMv2, 802.1X, and EAP. You also learned that the Dial-In tab of a user’s Properties dialog box has a number of interesting controls that regulate how the user account may be used for dial-in access.
