9.5. Using SharePoint Navigation

We've spent a considerable amount of time on search, and it's now time to switch to navigation as the other method of locating content within sites. Anyone who has accessed web-based content has experienced site navigation. In SharePoint, navigation is expressed using two methods: tree view and the breadcrumb trail.

Tree view allows you to see the entire site hierarchy expressed in Quick Launch so that all of the site's contents are immediately available using navigation links. Breadcrumb navigation displays a linear path describing how deeply you have navigated into a website structure.
