14.2. Managing Shared Services

We will begin our review of this section where we left off, on the Application Management tab in Central Administration. As you'll soon discover, you already know the vast majority of the topics in this section of the chapter.

14.2.1. Office SharePoint Server Shared Services

It's easy to confuse management in Central Administration and management in Shared Services because shared services providers are accessed through the CA interface. Nevertheless, Shared Services is a completely different service from any of the features and functions administered through the Operations and Applications Management tabs in CA.
