14.3. Backup and Restore
Although the backing up and restoring process is familiar to anyone who has managed a server farm or even a small server closet, I can't stress enough that this is a vital set of skills to acquire and possess. All your skills in configuring and managing SharePoint site collections and services won't do much good if the system goes down or is corrupted and you either have never performed a backup or haven't a clue how to perform a restore.
