Few authors of technical books do so as a full-time job, and I am no exception. Making time to revise a book such as this while working full-time as a network administrator during the day and working on a master’s degree a lot of evenings, among other commitments, puts a strain not only on myself but also on my family. I am very appreciative of my wife Melissa for her patience and the extra slack she picks up when I overextend myself. I am thankful for my children, who though young and not always understanding why daddy can’t always play when they want me to, nevertheless stay happy most of the time and are always able to raise my spirits with their smiles.
