8.6. Using Windows Server Backup Tools

At this point I've discussed many of the fail-safes available with Windows Server, such as RAID, network load balancing, and clustering, but now let's get into the true meat and potatoes of Windows backup—the Windows Server Backup tools. Using these tools, you can back up certain portions of Windows Server 2008, including everything from important files to information regarding the exact setup of the Windows Server 2008 infrastructure.

To use Windows Server Backup, you must first add it through the Windows Server Manager by selecting Add Features Windows Server Backup.
