Understand RAID.

By the time you take the certification exam, the different types of RAID should roll off your tongue just like your ABCs. RAID 0 is striping and the combination of disks into one large volume, RAID 1 is mirroring and creating an exact backup, and RAID 5 uses RAIDing to take advantage of a parity bit with some redundancy and some speed increases.
