Password Replication Policy

A policy used to define which passwords (if any) will be cached on an RODC. It's common to configure this policy so that regular user accounts are cached but accounts with higher permissions (such as members of the Administrators, Account Operators, Server Operators, and Backup Operators groups) accounts are not cached.

password settings object (PSO)

A tool used to change the password policy for individual users or groups. Historically, you could have only one password policy in a domain. Using a PSO, you can assign a different password policy for a specific group. This is typically done to apply a more stringent password policy for users with elevated privileges.
