L
Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP)

A tunneling protocol used to connect with a virtual private network (VPN). L2TP is commonly used with IPSec in a VPN. L2TP/IPSec can't be used if it needs to pass through a Network Address Translation (NAT) server.

loopback processing

A GPO setting causing a policy applying to a computer to take precedence over a policy applying to the user who is logging on. Normally, the policy applying to the user would take precedence since the user logs in after the computer starts up and the last policy applied takes precedence. In some situations (such as a computer in a lab or in a library), you may want the computer policy to take precedence, and you can use loopback processing to configure this.
