Skill 5 Draw Conclusions

Drawing conclusions from information is an important reading skill. You may spend time reading a passage, but what information can you draw from it, and how might you use that information? When an author presents a number of related facts, often you can group those facts in your mind and form a conclusion. A conclusion is a new idea that tells what those facts mean when they are joined together. You have to decide if the facts in a passage support your conclusion the way evidence supports a verdict in a court of law.
