Summary

Jack is complete. A significant amount of work was required to bring his static geometry to life. You added hair, clothing, muscles, color, light, and, most important, motion from a human being. Each step is a job unto itself, and each step is equally important in achieving the final look. Photorealistic characters take a tremendous amount of time, skill, and patience.

image You can take a look at Jack's final scene file, final_v01.ma and movie, final.mov, on the DVD. The jacket and head have been shaded and their texture maps connected. The skin has been cached, freeing it from its underlying muscles; they have subsequently been deleted.
