CHAPTER 2
Face Rigging
The face is the most distinguishable part of the human body. It's used to identify the people we know or don't know; but, more important, it's the principal tool used in personal communications. The computer-generated actor must be able to show emotion or give a speech.
It's easy to recognize when a face looks wrong, but how do you do it right? In this chapter, you'll replicate the muscles of the human face in order to create a functional and anatomically correct facial rig for Jack.
In this chapter you will learn to:
- Learn the muscles of the human face
- Add motion to muscles
