Project: Adding Occlusion

The effect of ambient occlusion can often appear extremely subtle. Therefore, it often pays to test the result on a piece of primitive geometry. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Create a primitive sphere. Translate and scale the sphere so it sits on the floor near the chairs. Assign the sphere to the same material that's assigned to the Floor surface.
