INTRODUCTION

The primary discussion in this chapter will focus directly on how to use organizational change management (OCM) programs at all levels of the organization, including the executive suite, to keep programs on track and to achieve the intended Return on Investment. Material presented in earlier chapters discussed the integration of the output of various elements, resulting in a governance process sufficient to manage these important elements, which include Return on Investment, business process analysis, business culture analysis, IT strategy development, and workforce readiness.

These elements must now be analyzed as we design a continuous improvement approach to ERP implementation and management. With the understanding of organizational processes developed and with an effective governance program established, our attention can now turn to the issue of (OCM), essentially the framework within which all organizational change occurs, whether accidentally or purposefully.
