A DEEPER LOOK INTO INTEGRATION

Yet perhaps this is too simply stated. It is really much more difficult to explain how to conceptualize the potential of business improvement as you create a vision for the organization. Furthermore, once a vision of benefits and a path are set, lack of comprehensive education and experience with how IT applications define business processes to achieve that vision often cause program failures. With outstanding executives in organizations that are used to success, this seems counterintuitive, and yet, since the dawn of integrated business applications in the early 1990s (when they first became practical for the majority of businesses), billions of dollars have been spent on implementing them, and we still have failure to get them implemented, or businesses fail to achieve business potential even when new systems have been installed. This book will take leadership principles from Kotter and others, apply them to leading change in large organizations, and demonstrate why these efforts often fail to achieve anticipated results.
