MATLAB® graphics

Plots are one of the best and most visually accessible means for presenting information in general and results of calculations in particular, especially in science and engineering. MATLAB® has a wide variety of commands for graphics. Available commands allow us to design various types of two- (in other words, XY or 2D) and three-dimensional (XYZ or 3D) plots.

2D graphics include plots with linear, semilogarithmic or logarithmic axes, bars, histograms, pies, polar and multiple plots, and many more. A plot can comprise one or several curves or surfaces, and several graphs can be plotted in the same Figure Window. Formatting can regulate the desired line style or marker type, its thickness and color, and add a grid, text or legend. ...
