13.3. Artificial Neuron Model

A neuron is an information-processing unit that is fundamental to the operation of a neural network. The block diagram of Figure 13.1 shows the model of a neuron, which form the basis for designing (artificial) neural networks. Three basic elements of neuron model are as follows:
