12.1. Introduction
The performance of a control system is generally judged by its time response to test signals. The analysis and design of a control system is also carried out based on its frequency response. In the frequency response, response of the system to a sinusoidal input is investigated as the frequency varies. In this chapter, use of the techniques/graphical methods such as Root Locus, Bode diagram, Nyquist plot, Nichols chart, etc. using MATLAB has been described.
