1.9. Summary
This chapter introduces the user to MATLAB. It can be summarized in the following points:
The different methods of starting and ending a MATLAB session are discussed.
The start menu and sub-menus of the MATLAB desktop have also been introduced.
The different windows in the MATLAB environment like Command Window, Command History, Workspace, Current Directory, Edit Window and Figure Window have been described.
The Command Window displays the command prompt ‘»’ and a cursor where commands are entered and executed instantaneously on pressing the ‘Enter’ key.
