1.6. Platform
One of major advantage of MATLAB is that it is platform independent. It is supported by Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP and many versions of UNIX/LINUX. The MATLAB programs written on any platform will run on the other platforms as well. So, the MATLAB programs are easily portable and work in a similar manner on all computer systems, irrespective of the operating system used.
