Abstract
This chapter uses a range of substances to evaluate how substances of some concern, but where there is limited knowledge of the actual extent of concern, are dealt with at the point of their introduction into more intense manufacturing. The core question is whether current procedures indicate that substances with some concern are treated in a way that could prevent repeats of past problem experiences.
