I don't have official numbers, but I would risk it to say that today there are already more virtual servers running than physical servers, keeping our world online. While the battle continues to rage between which hypervisor platform is the best—typically the argument is split between either Hyper-V or VMware—you cannot ignore the fact that virtualization is the way of the future.
