Disk space overcommitment

Disk space overcommitment is relevant if using vSphere Thin provisioning (Thin VMDKs) on VMFS Datastores. This allows administrators to set a target overcommitment percentage on the storage to benefit from thin provisioning. This percentage should be based on the organizational policy and in line with the associated risks of overcommitting storage.
