Memory demand

Memory demand is often the least understood metric in vRealize Operations, and as such it causes a great deal of confusion and often leads to incorrect capacity management data. Memory demand, like CPU demand, is derived from a variety of metrics to easily show the administrator how much memory a virtual machine requires or is asking for.

The difference between CPU and memory demand is that CPU demand is based on CPU usage, which is a very accurate metric that vSphere is easily able to record. Memory demand, on the other hand, is primarily based on the metric's Active Memory.
