CPU overcommitment

As discussed in the CPU Allocation section, CPU overcommitment allows a ratio or percentage of CPU overcommitment to be set, affecting the amount of total capacity. The following screenshot shows the effect that CPU overcommitment has on the total capacity. The cluster shown in the following screenshot has 8 pCPUs configured. However, with an 8:1 overcommitment ratio in place, we now have a total cluster capacity of 64 vCPUs:
