The following vCenter Server best practices are taken from the full recommendations provided in Chapters 3, 9, 10, and 13:

  • Uninstall IIS prior to installing vCenter Server.

  • Use the Service applet in the Windows Control Panel to configure the VMware vCenter Server Service for autorestart.
