Chapter 14Creating Simple Custom Dialog Boxes

In this chapter, you'll start looking at Visual Basic for Applications' tools for creating custom dialog boxes that interact with the user. The terms dialog box and form (or user form) are generally used interchangeably. Technically, a dialog box is a quite simple, small window, such as a message box or input box. Forms, generally, are larger windows featuring richer and more complex interaction with the user. These terms, though, are equivalent in common usage.

Dialog boxes and forms are among the most powerful and feature-packed elements of VBA. We will spend quite a bit of time exploring their uses as the primary communication path between users and procedures.
