Appendix A. Distributions

Distributions provide tremendous flexibility to level designers by allowing them to choose how they would like the value of a property to be defined. The sheer number of different types of distributions, along with their similarities to one another, can make distributions seem a little daunting at first. However, upon closer examination, you’ll find that although they can appear to be a bit complex, there’s really nothing to fear about them, and they can give you a lot of power over the look of your particle systems, the sound of your audio files, and much more.
