Chapter 6. Software Distribution

Software distribution has been among the most widely used features throughout the history of Configuration Manager, and it's also probably the most dangerous if not used properly. With the software distribution feature, you can send just about anything to a Configuration Manager client, from full software installations to a script that will add a shortcut to a user's desktop.

The danger with this feature is that there is no built-in functionality to create or validate what Configuration Manager distributes to its clients.
