13.7. Deploying Software to Mobile Clients
Configuration Manager 2007 allows administrators to deploy software to the mobile device client individually or in groups. The steps for deploying software to mobile clients are basically the same as we discussed in earlier chapters for deploying software to any Configuration Manager client.
Deploying software to mobile clients requires the following steps:
Create a package.
Create the program.
Select the distribution points.
Advertise the package.
One difference is that when creating the program for a device, you will be selecting Program For Device when you create the program; Figure 13.23 shows deploying Weather Watcher to the mobile devices.
