4.1. Configuration Manager 2007 Site Types and Site Relationships

Since Microsoft SMS 1.0, we've had the notion of a site type being either a primary site server or a secondary site server. If you boil everything down to the simplest definition of the differences between a primary and a secondary site server, you could say that a primary site server has SQL and a secondary does not. As we progress through the chapter, you'll see some subtle differences between site types, but this is the most rudimentary difference.
