11.4. Cloning a Report

You might often want to tweak one of the reports already within your system but keep the existing report untouched. The best way of achieving this goal is to simply clone a report and then modify the clone, keeping the original report untouched so you can use it at a later date.

Cloning one of the built-in reports is also a very handy way to practice how to create reports. To clone a report, follow these steps.

  1. Open the Configuration Manager console and expand Site Database.

  2. Expand the Computer Management node, followed by the Reporting node and then the Reports node.

  3. Choose the report you want to clone.

  4. Right-click the report and choose Clone from the All Tasks menu.

  5. Input the name of the new report and click OK.
