6.1 Introduction

As we have seen in previous chapters, projects, much like other areas within the organization, are made up of processes carried out to accomplish various objectives. As project managers develop a project and systematically create the sequence of events that will be conducted to complete work activities throughout the project life cycle, the project managers are designing a project as a group of processes, and these processes in many cases have interrelated interactions. The project management processes carried out on a project might have interactions with other projects processes, as well as processes within the daily operation of an organization.
