This chapter has no special requirements, other than a pfSense system with at least a WAN and a LAN interface to work through the examples in this chapter. It would be helpful if you have at least two separate nodes on the LAN network to test the examples. It would also be helpful to have a separate internet connection, such as a mobile connection, to confirm that any NAT changes made have the desired effect on the WAN side.
