Finally, it's also possible to use some other SAML-based authentication system instead of Office 365 or AD FS. Though there aren't very many options on the market today, it would be impractical to go over every option currently available, and such information is likely to go out of date quickly. Things to consider will be those if you're looking at AD FS. Since authentication is key to accessing and using Office 365, you should also think about whether Microsoft and/or other vendors offering such solutions provide a clear roadmap for configuration and ongoing support.
