Up until recently, eDiscovery was basically just a wrapper around Content search. However, Microsoft recently made major changes to the UI. This new functionality drastically increases both the functionality and complexity of the eDiscovery tools.
This is fantastic if your entire job is focused around providing accountability for a large organization, but it can be daunting if you're just a run-of-the-mill sysadmin who needs only the basics. We'll do our best to stick to those aspects of eDiscovery, that might be useful to the average person:
