Office 365 does a lot of the work of screening spam and phishing attacks for you, especially if you have a license for one of the higher-end security products that Microsoft offers. But for those who want to take their organization's defense into their own hands, particularly for larger companies or companies with a high profile, the functions of the protection section can be some of the most important in Exchange.
