Device access is about controlling access from certain network locations and types of authentication:

Your options are:
- Allow access only from specific IP address locations: If you choose this, you'll enter a list of authorized IPs, and those will be the only ones allowed access to OneDrive.
- Allow access from apps that don't use modern authentication: If an application is too old to be able to use one of the modern authentication methods, do you want to prevent it from connecting to OneDrive?
The defaults here are to allow access from any IP and to allow access from older apps.
